Bring your class to our orchard this fall for a fun apple picking/learning experience. All available slots for September and October 2006 have now been filled. We regret we cannot take any more reservations.
While we do accept all grade levels, we feel that our program is targeted to the first through third grades. Most schools arrive by 10 and leave by noon.
We supply picking bags, a hayride to the orchard, picking of apples, a dry run demonstration of how the cider press works, a coloring project, a sample of our cider, a class picture and plenty of shade, tables and grass for the students to enjoy their lunches on. (Students bring thier own lunch.)The charge for the above is $3.00 per student.
After lunch, we play our calliope for the students and usually do some fun Simon says calisthenics to the calliope music before the students board the busses to take them back to school.
We have many schools that return every year, so our available slots fill rapidly. Be sure to email or call early to reserve your time. We can accomodate up to 60 students from one school per morning.
